"Just Like Heaven"

JJ: "Even if she was real, do you know what you're risking for this woman?"

David: "Yes!"

JJ: "Why?"

David: "Because I love her! I love her. I do...I love you."

Being a lover of chick flicks, i enjoyed Just Like Heaven (with Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo). I found it very light, entertaining and sweet. Though the story was not realistic, it brought about the feeling of warmth and the need for companionship (whether platonic or romantic) and the importance of our relationships with the people around us.

The story revolves around Elizabeth Masterson (Witherspoon) and David Abbot (Ruffalo). Elizabeth is a workaholic doctor, who tragically gets into an accident. David Abbot is an architect who ends up renting out Elizabeth's apartment a few months after the accident. They meet as Elizabeth's spirit wanders back into the apartment without knowing about what had happened to her. As Elizabeth tries to force David to leave the apartment and while David fights for his right to stay, friendship and love start to grow. The story continues as David tries to help Elizabeth find out about who she was and in the end helps her realize and complete her unfinished business.

Watching the movie made my day :) Nothing but raves for this movie :)

For those of you who don't know me that well (or at all), i am a total lyrics freak and music addict! :P So everytime i watch a movie (or any tv show or play/musical or anything at all actually), i really listen to the songs that they include. And i tend to look for the songs that particularly tug on my heartstrings :P. For this movie, i fell in love with the song "Colors" by Amos Lee. I find that it compliments the movie because it talks about how life seems to fall apart when you lose or become separated from someone who has become a part of you and a part of your life.

"Colors"

Yesterday i got lost in the circus,
feeling like such a mess.
And now I'm down,
I'm just hanging on the corner.
I can't help but reminisce.

Cuz when you're gone,
all the colours fade.
When you're gone,
no new years day parade.
You're gone,
colours seem to fade.

Your mama called, she said,
that you're downstairs crying.
Feeling like such a mess.
Ya, i hear ya,
in the back ground balling.
What happened to your sweet summer time dress.

I know we all,
we all got our faults.
We get locked in our vaults,
and we stay..

When you're gone,
all the colours fade.
When you're gone,
no new years day parade.
You're gone,
colours seem to fade,
colours seem to fade.

*today i am grateful for the friends of my mom who continue to try and take care of me though i don't see or talk to them very often
*i am grateful that though it's so hard to earn money these days, i still have a lot to be thankful for
