Tyler Hilton and Bethany Joy Lenz

One Tree Hill is one of the shows that i try to keep up with. Not only does it have a good story line (which gets better every season!), but I love WB's music choices. I honestly enjoy watching WB because of the music that they use for their shows. WB is one of the stations where i can discover new songs and artists; Great shows, greatsongs :)

But who are Tyler Hilton and Bethany Joy Lenz? For those who do not know, they play Chris Keller and Haley James-Scott on One Tree Hill (WB). Both act as young talented musicians/aspiring artists. I love the fact that they just don't act all fake and lip-sync to other people's voices but they are actually really good performers (though Hilton has been an artist for sometime i think). Of course they still aren't comparable to those who have been in the music business for a long time but these two have the potential to really make it--REALLY BIG. And i think it would be great if their albums are successes (though i don't think bethany joy lenz has an album yet--to be released next year i think; Tyler Hilton - "The Tracks Of"). I just love the way they sing (though of course i suppose there are still areas which they can improve on...though maybe it's just me being my picky self :P ...hehe). And i love their songs!!! But i adore these two because I love being able to listen to artists sing without having to cringe because they keep getting off-key (GRRRR). I'm the type of person who despise singers whose voices sound as though they are scratching their vocal chords (makes me want to give them a glass of water or throw it at them ;)) or those who sound good in their albums but suck like hell when they sing live (off topic--hats off to jason mraz who's totally perfect on stage!!! love love love him live :) and a perfect example of true talent!). Back to the not so talented ones--I seriously get a headache just by listening to them. But hey, i know i get flats once in a while (though i vow that i will perfect my singing eventually...hehehehe) but i ain't a professional singer nor do i aspire to be one. But for these professionals, they must hit each and every note with precision. Dead center. No ifs, no buts. Not a little bit less nor a little bit more. Shifts of tones should be clean. Whether it's their own version of an old song or something new, they really must be precise and on the dot.

Anyway, back to tyler and bethany...It's a plus that their voices though of different qualities can be very soothing! I can't wait to get to listen to their albums. They have definitely made my favorites list :) My qualifications? Great artists (i just know who they are; i do not follow what's hot...i listen :)), great voices (not the "scream till your vocal chords break from pressure" type), great songs (pleasing to the ears, great melody, arrangement...etc) and great lyrics (just "good"is not enough). One of my true highs in life--finding new songs and artists to listen to :) New discoveries :) Happy-happy :)

I actually wrote about them because i can't get their song "When the Stars Go Blue" (from One Tree Hill) out of my mind. Simply put...I love it! :) I will write about their other songs as soon as i get a chance :)
